Luke has been many things over his life. Most of them, he was very good at. But he's found that he's better as former things. Former cop. Former bull rider. All of his girlfriends end up liking him better as an ex- than they did when they were together. But he's found solace and freedom in the air, and he's in no rush to become a former pilot - that sounds much too permanent.
